Our Academy Committee
Vision Statement
The Academy Committee of Tranmoor Primary School will support, positively challenge and work alongside the
Headteacher and staff to fulfil the aims and values of the school.
Mrs Stewart – Chair
I joined the Local Academy Committee at Tranmoor Primary School in 2019/20, and was appointed Chair in November 2020. I see my role to be supportive, as well as challenging , ensuring that each child receives the very best education and opportunities possible, working closely with staff in school to monitor this.
I believe my professional experience working as SENCO in another school within the Trust equips me with the relevant skills to be an active Academy Committee Chair at Tranmoor Primary School.
As a resident of Armthorpe, I feel very much part of this community and I am also proud to be an active member of the Tranmoor Primary community through this role.
Mrs Rushby – Deputy Headteacher – Staff Governor
I qualified as a Teacher in 2002 and over my career have taught various year groups, I took a Headship position in 2015 before joining Tranmoor Primary School as Deputy Headteacher in September 2016.
I strongly believe that my leadership and management experience, together with my enthusiasm for teamwork and commitment to raising standards enables me to work successfully with staff, committee members, children and parents of Tranmoor Primary, ultimately driving the school forward to greater success
Mrs Storey
I joined the Academy Committee at Tranmoor Primary School in November 2020. I see my role as a member to be supportive, as well as challenging , ensuring that each child receive the very best education and opportunities possible.
I believe my professional experience as a retired teacher of Tranmoor Primary School equips me with the relevant skills to be an active member of Tranmoor's Academy Committee.
