Wow! What a fantastic day we've had. Jennifer Tong , a British Champion Weightlifter from Hull visited Tranmoor Primary School. We listened carefully to Jennifer's weightlifting journey and we were truly inspired!
The children took part in a range of exercises that Jennifer uses to prepare her body for upcoming competitions.
"Do one thing every day that scares you."
The children have raised a FANTASTIC total of £1,302 which will go towards the #Givingback Athlete Support Programme. This programme provides athletes with funding per event and access to extra services such as physiotherapists, nutritionists, dietitians and chiropractors.
Tranmoor has received £420.80 from Inspired Through Sport to spend on sporting equipment.
Well done boys and girls!
The children had fun painting poppies on stones that were distributed around Armthorpe. So many stones were distributed and we asked through social media for anyone who finds one to return it back to school. The aim of this was to show how many men went to war and only so many came back.
MacMillan Cancer Support
We held a cake sale for McMillan and it was a huge success!! Thankyou to all our staff for their Bake Or Fake contributions, and to all our children and parents who were so eager to buy them. It was a sell out. We raised £538.
We were one of 200 schools to have a visit from the Betty Bus and 900 were on the waiting list!
Tranmoor Primary have got the ‘Golden Lock’ and each month a child who has rode on their scooter or their bike will randomly be chosen to receive a prize. If you see that your bike or scooter has got the ‘Golden Lock’ then you need to see Mrs Mellor as you have been chosen for the prize.
Remember you can only be in with a chance of winning a prize if you scoot or cycle to school.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Race For Life event. You raised a fantastic £3878.70! WELL DONE :)
